Gradus support

Help when practice should be the easy part.

Find answers for sessions, recording, iCloud sync, exports, and deletion. Include your app version and build number when reporting a problem.

Common topics

Practice timing and active sessions

Gradus keeps session and block timing from the wall clock when the app is in the background or the screen is locked. If a session was accidentally left running, use Correct Session Time during the final review or from that session's history.

Microphone and recording

Open iOS Settings, find Gradus, and confirm Microphone access is enabled. Recordings are stored on the device where they were made and are not uploaded through CloudKit.

If a recording is interrupted, return to Gradus and check the active session or completed session history for the recovered take.

iCloud sync

Gradus works without iCloud. To sync supported practice data, sign in to iCloud on the device, then open Gradus Settings from Progress to review the current sync status.

Audio recordings and active session drafts remain local and will not appear on another device.

Data, export, and deletion

Open Progress, then Settings, to export supported practice data as CSV or clear practice history. Individual sessions, lessons, journal entries, repertoire, technique attempts, and recordings also provide their own delete controls.

Removing Gradus deletes local app data from that device. Synced data can also be managed through Apple's iCloud settings.

Camera and lesson-note recognition

Enable Camera access for Gradus in iOS Settings. Gradus uses on-device text recognition after you photograph handwritten lesson notes. Review and edit the recognized text before adding it to a lesson.
